 Colonial Wordles

Through our study of Colonial America, students have been researching a particular region of the thirteen colonies (New England, Middle, and/or Southern).  They have been deciphering between important versus interesting information to assist them in determining the most important main ideas and details within nonfiction text to assist them in organizing information for a summary.

Students have been working on creating a Colonial Wordle by creating a concise description of their region through the selection of important details/key words.  Students categorized their information by varying the size of their words (largest words- title, medium words- major categories/subheadings, smallest words- details).
