Meet Miss Susco

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a teacher!  I began my teaching career three years ago at Richard D. Hubbard Elementary School in Berlin, CT, teaching fifth grade.  I have worked with various grades in the past and I have to say fifth grade is fantastic!  Fifth grade is the time when children become critical thinkers who participate in insightful discussions, take part in explorations to own their own learning, and feel comfortable taking risks and challenges to help them grow.

Being a lifelong learner is important to me.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Psychology from Stonehill College in Easton, MA.  While in college, I studied abroad at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland where I continued my studies in Psychology.  I am currently continuing my learning at Saint Joseph College where I am working towards my Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Language Arts.

I am a very active person and a huge sports fan.  I play on a soccer team on the weekends and enjoy watching the Red Sox.  I love the beach and find that my favorite place to read is while sitting on the beach in Cape Cod.  I have an entertaining cat named Rocco who enjoys sleeping one minute and running around crazy the next. I also enjoy traveling and hope to share with you some     of my pictures from when I studied abroad in Ireland.
